"What stood out most was Georgia's depth of knowledge and practical guidance provided in preparing for an unmedicated birth. I had hoped for an unmedicated hospital birth, and with her support I was able to achieve it! Even when we faced an unexpected gestational diabetes diagnosis and the decision to schedule an induction, Georgia helped us feel informed, validated and confident in our decisions. During our prenatal visits (plus many texts, calls, and shared Notes app lists), she was generous with her time and incredibly thorough. She also helped my husband feel prepared and confident in his role as a birth partner, helping him prepare to support me physically and emotionally during labor. When the time came, she joined us at the hospital for my induction and was a constant source of support through labor: with hands-on comfort techniques and tools, guidance, and strong advocacy. She has a calm and gentle presence, but she is also a powerful advocate and was truly impressive when communicating with both healthcare providers and family members during critical moments. From shaping my birth preferences to postpartum support (including holding my baby so I could take care of a few things around the house), Georgia was exceptional through every stage."
– Olivia G.

"My labor was very difficult- it was long, unexpected and the birth plan had to do a complete 180. Georgia was along for the ride with absolutely no complaints. Physically, she supplied me with a tens unit, that completely changed the game for me, it supplied so much relief for my back labor. She also applied pressure on my back when my husband was unavailable without even having to be asked. Emotionally, Georgia continued to support me through words of encouragement and asked me how I was feeling throughout. During our prenatal appointments, Georgia asked a lot of questions I hadn’t thought about and really allowed me to think and research more of what I did not know. She showed us ways to help relieve pain with pressure and different positions and things. We were able to utilize that during labor. During birth, Georgia helped my husband feel supported and included by taking turns with him to allow him to have a rest for some contractions. I would definitely recommend Georgia to all my close friends! My experience was incredible! She listened and supported me in ways I didn’t even know I needed."

About Me

Georgia Bonds Abele (she/her)

Hi there! I am a certified labor, postpartum, and abortion doula in the Portland Metro area. I have a degree in Psychology and over 10 years of experience serving young children and families in a variety of settings. As your doula, I am committed to helping you feel prepared, held, and empowered every step of the way. As a queer person living with chronic illness, I am particularly passionate about working with the LGBTQIA+ community, neurodivergent folks, and those living with disabilities. My work celebrates all bodies, identities, and family structures and I strive to make my practice as inclusive and accessible as possible.

To me, reproductive care work means providing  advocacy, education, comfort, and above all, holding space—space to heal, space to transform, space to become, whatever that looks like for you. Wild & Well honors both the transformative nature of holistic wellness and the natural, visceral experience of of being in your most primal state. It is my privilege to embrace you fully in your wildest form, help you process and create healing spaces, and above all, empower you to take charge of your reproductive journey.
